More About Missy
As of January 2024, I have been working toward certification in EMDR as part of a PA state grant through the University of Pittsburgh in connection with EMDR Consulting. I have been in the mental health field since 2017 and have worked with a variety of populations in various settings including inpatient mental health hospitalization, mental health partial hospitalization, dual diagnosis residential treatment, and forensic treatment with individuals post-incarceration. I have experience in individual and group therapy, and case management and community resources.
Every client has the capacity to learn, heal, and grow, more than you may realize, and I am honored to be a part of that story, even if only for a glimpse in the course of one’s lifetime. You are the expert in your own life; only you know what it’s like to live life through your eyes - no one else. I am here to learn from you what it’s like to live life from your view, to connect and share my expertise - the information and knowledge I have gained in my training and clinical experience - so that you may take away what you find helpful in your journey of accessing your true, authentic self as you learn, heal, and grow. Two of the most important aspects to me in helping others in therapy are a strong therapeutic relationship and working as a team in accomplishing your goals for therapy. You are the expert; I am the guide.
