I moved to Erie, Pa. from California over 20 years ago. Since moving to Erie, I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gannon University. Due to my own personal struggles with substance abuse, and 21 years of sobriety, I recognized the lack of diversity and services for people of color and decided to pursue my degree in counseling. My professional experiences include 20 + years’ experience working with SUD and MH individuals in a variety of agencies. My professional career includes programming, training and development, and advocacy with the LGBTQ+ community, homeless individuals, and numerous D/A and MH facilities. I recently retired, however, with God’s help, my willingness and belief that as a clinician my work is never done, I plan to continue to work with individuals to help them overcome the barriers impeding their ability to succeed.
